Bronze Pelican Award
A volunteer is nominated for this award by his peers after completing significant service helping the Catholic Youth in Scouting at the local unit level.

 Information and nomination form

Nov. 15, 2009 is the deadline for nominations for the St. George or Bronze Pelican.  The completed forms must be mailed to Volunteer Scouting, CYO Office, 305 Michigan Ave., Detroit, MI 48226. 

The awards will be presented at the Annual Award Program in March 2010.

The CYO (Catholic Youth Organization)  provides the following awards for Adults who participate in their Youth program.  Scouting is one of the CYO programs.
Ed Crowe Service Award - 2 years service helping Catholic Youth in any CYO organization.
Henry Vassel Service Award - 10 years service helping the Catholic Youth in any CYO organization
James Coughlin Service Award - 25 years of outstanding service helping the Catholic Youth in any CYO organization.

March 20, 2010 is the deadline for nominations for these awards.  Scouting Volunteers are also eligible.  An application may be obtained from your district CCS Rep. or anyone on our roster.  The awards will be presented at the CYO Volunteer Award Dinner/Program on April 26, 2010 (Tentative date).
